Failure to appear at Contest:
Units that fail to appear at contest for which they are scheduled will be required to pay a $200 cancellation fee prior to their next competition. If a unit chooses to not pay the two hundred dollar fee after missing a scheduled competition it will be placed on probation for the following season and will be assigned to contests only if space is available after all units in good standing have been assigned.
Missed contests due to weather and the decision by the School Corporation to not allow the unit to compete are exempt from this procedure. Verification must be presented to the IHSCGA Executive Board by the building principal.
If a unit is unable to perform at a contest due to weather, a school may contact the IHSCGA President by 4PM the following Monday to request to “add-in” to a later contest date, the IHSCGA President will decide if there is a opportunity to add performances to the contest.
