Color Guard Director- Hamilton Southeastern HS

The Hamilton Southeastern High School Band Program is looking for an outstanding candidate to be our new Color Guard Director for the 2020-2021 school year! Hamilton Southeastern Guards have developed a tradition of excellence and achievement, with our Varsity Guard making Finals at both the state and national level in Open Class. The Guard Director position includes the following responsibilities: Leading, managing, teaching, and hiring adjunct staff for the guard during the fall marching season; working with the director team to design the show, costumes, props, concept, and aesthetic for the fall marching season; coordinating and running all summer rehearsals; coordinating recruiting efforts at the junior high and high school levels; managing, teaching, designing, and coordinating all aspects of the Winter Guard program, including budgeting, hiring adjunct staff, coordinating fundraising efforts, and recruitment/retention. At Hamilton Southeastern, we strive to bring the students the best possible opportunities and experiences and we are seeking a candidate for this position that shares that philosophy. Our program competes and performs throughout the state and country, participating in ISSMA, BOA, IHSCGA, and WGI. Candidates should demonstrate a strong background in teaching and/or performance experience and should be motivated to continue to build and develop a fantastic guard program at HSE! Pay for this position comes from a combination of Booster funds and school stipends.
